WHITEPLACE_1. PART THREE

After spending two installments exploring the universe of Whiteplace_1 (白寺), we bring this series to a close with one final selection of photographs by the elusive Chinese artist.

His work demonstrates that eroticism doesn't always need an explanation. Sometimes it is far more effective to suggest a story, conceal part of the model's identity and allow a pose, a rope or a glance to construct everything else.

Whiteplace_1 uses fetishism as an artistic language rather than merely as a sexual attraction. His images are conceived as compositions in which the human body coexists with fantasy, performance and a certain sense of mystery.

Perhaps that is why we know so little about him. While other photographers turn their own identity into a fundamental part of their work, Whiteplace_1 disappears behind the camera and allows everything to unfold in front of it.

The third and final installment dedicated to a photographer who, without revealing much about himself, has managed to create an instantly recognizable visual universe.

While other websites closely follow the evolution of artificial intelligence in fields such as medicine, education, aerospace, robotics and scientific research, somebody has to take care of the truly important stuff.

And that's where we come in.

Ever since this whole artificial intelligence craze began just a few years ago, here at ALRNCN we've been documenting, installment after installment, how AI is advancing in a field as interesting as it is inevitable, necessary and fucking addictive: sex.

Because beyond the images we publish, this series has almost unintentionally become a small chronological record of the evolution of generative artificial intelligence. You only have to go back to the first volumes and compare them with the latest ones to see just how much everything has changed.





At first, we were amazed that an AI could generate a remotely believable woman. Then we started paying attention to the hands, fingers, eyes, skin, proportions, poses, lighting and backgrounds. Mistakes that once immediately gave away an artificial image have gradually disappeared or become increasingly difficult to spot.

And while we were getting used to each new leap forward, the machines kept learning. More detail, better textures, more natural lighting, more coherent anatomy and increasingly convincing scenes. What would have blown our minds a couple of years ago can look completely normal to us today.

That's probably one of the most interesting things about following this evolution month after month: it's not just the technology that changes, our perception of what we consider impressive changes too. AI is improving so quickly that something that seemed extraordinary yesterday may look mediocre tomorrow.

So here we are, making our own little contribution to the history of humanity. Others will document how artificial intelligence helped discover new medicines, design robots or explore space. We're documenting how it learned to create increasingly realistic fantasies.

We all contribute to society in our own way.

I hope that someday someone will appreciate the enormous amount of documentation, sacrifice and scientific rigor that ALRNCN has been putting in for decades. Because when someone in the future wants to study how the relationship between technology, artificial intelligence and sex evolved, we'll be sitting here with 200 installments saying: “Relax, kid. We already took care of it.”

And we've actually reached a pretty respectable milestone: Random AI-generated images, volume 38.

LES PETITS REGARDS. PART 2

Yesterday, we discovered the work of Les Petits Regards, the French photographer who has made intimacy and the female nude the centerpiece of a delicate, sensual, and deeply personal body of work.

In his photographs, the models never seem to be simply posing for the camera. They rest, observe, hide beneath the sheets, or allow the light to travel across their bodies while Anthony captures that fragile line between feeling observed and completely forgetting that someone is watching.

His photography proves that eroticism doesn't need elaborate settings or impossible poses. Sometimes, all it takes is a quiet room, an open window, a naked body, and a camera that knows how to wait for the right moment.

As promised, today we're sharing the rest of the photographs we had saved for later. Part two of Les Petits Regards, because some sessions deserve to be enjoyed without rushing… and because keeping all these photos to ourselves would have been rather selfish.

Yesterday we shared the first part of our selection dedicated to Newcracksinthewall, a photographer who uses the nude, light and space as the main ingredients of his compositions.

Today we're back with the second batch of photographs. New perspectives, bodies emerging and disappearing between light and shadow, and that same search for images that may look simple at first glance but have been carefully constructed behind the camera.

And that's where much of the appeal of his work lies: taking an apparently simple scene and giving it enough visual power to keep your eyes on it a little longer than you intended.
