The internet is full of trends that probably started because someone did something, someone else decided to copy it, and before we knew it, there were enough identical videos to dedicate an entire post to them.

This time, the only requirement seems pretty simple: stand in front of the camera holding a cushion or pillow to cover your body and stay like that for a few seconds.

Just long enough to build a little anticipation, because we all know perfectly well that nobody pressed play to check out these girls' pillow collections.

Then comes the second part of the trick: the cushion drops, gets tossed aside, or simply disappears from the frame, no longer serving the only purpose it was invited for.

A compilation dedicated to all those pillows that enjoyed a few seconds in the spotlight before discovering that they were actually completely unnecessary.

ALL IN ON BLACK VOL7

We've spent all week, and part of last week, doing a crash course in colors. Is this lilac or violet? Does that one lean more toward blue? Does yellow really have twenty different shades? And depending on the lighting, the screen, or who's looking at it, the exact same piece of clothing can apparently end up being one color or another.

But today we can relax.

Because today it's black. And black has one wonderful advantage for those of us working with a color palette of twelve colors at most: black doesn't leave much room for debate.

Black is black.

There's no such thing as "light black." That's gray, and even the most basic among us can figure that one out. There's no need to talk about "dark black" either, because if there's one color that already comes dark straight out of the box, it's this one. And strong black... well, that's black. Period.

So for once, we can forget about nuances, shades, flower names, gemstones and Pantone charts. Today we know exactly what we're looking at.

And let's be real, if there's one area where black works especially well, it's clothing and lingerie. It doesn't need fancy names or explanations: it catches the eye, goes with everything and rarely fails.

After so many days putting our limited knowledge of colors to the test, today we're finally on home turf.

All on black.

SIMON BOLZ 2026. PART TWO

We continue our journey through Simon Bolz's recent work with a second selection of photographs published over the past few years.

While the previous installment brought his name back to these pages after a long absence, today we can focus directly on what best defines his work: an elegant, suggestive, and visually meticulous way of portraying the female body.

Bolz knows that a good nude photograph doesn't depend solely on who's posing in front of the lens. What is merely suggested also matters, along with the model's attitude, the lighting, and that balance between naturalness and staging that makes every image appear spontaneous, even though nothing has been left to chance.

This second installment completes our selection of his work since 2023 and confirms that, despite the years that have passed since his last appearance on ALRNCN, Simon Bolz still has more than enough reasons to take his place on these pages once again.

GREEN, HOW I WANT YOU GREEN VOL4

A while ago, we started a little series called Pink, Fuchsia or Magenta, mainly because we discovered that apparently calling everything that looks pink to us simply “pink” is considered an unacceptable oversimplification of the color spectrum.

Apparently not. It can be pink, fuchsia, magenta, blush pink, bubblegum pink, dusty pink... and probably another fifteen shades that someone could distinguish by placing them side by side while we nod along pretending we can see the difference.

Well, exactly the same thing happens with green.

There's olive green, bottle green, emerald green, mint green, pistachio green, lime green, forest green, military green, jade green, moss green... and probably another forty shades of green whose names I don't know and have absolutely no intention of learning.

At ALRNCN, we're simple people. So if it looks green, it's green.

We're not going to waste valuable time trying to decide whether a woman's bra is emerald green with hints of jade or forest green leaning toward bottle green. We have a responsibility to our readers, and there are matters that require our attention far more urgently.

So while color experts can happily argue about shades, saturation and nuances, we'll continue a series based on a much more efficient color classification system:

GREEN, HOW I WANT YOU GREEN.

And inside you'll find women wearing green clothes. Not many of them.

We really don't need to know much more.

BLUE VOL4

Yesterday we were talking about green and our particular way of dealing with the enormous complexity of the color spectrum: if it looks green, it's green.

Today we're switching folders and moving on to blue. And we could do exactly the same thing here. We could talk about sky blue, navy blue, electric blue, turquoise blue, petrol blue, cobalt blue, baby blue... but after yesterday's post, I think we've made our position on subtle shades pretty damn clear.

It's blue.

The funny thing is that blue is usually sold to us as the color of calm, tranquility and serenity. A clear blue sky, a calm sea, a crystal-clear swimming pool... All very relaxing, very zen, very much about taking a deep breath and finding your inner peace.

But then you take that very same blue and turn it into lingerie, a bikini, a tight dress or any other strategically placed piece of clothing, and that whole theory about tranquility starts falling apart pretty quickly.

Because colors, like so many other things in life, depend a lot on where you put them.

And considering where the blues featured in this post have been placed, I'm afraid we're not going to learn much about color psychology today either.

But that's not really what we came here for anyway.
