The next step seems inevitable: integrating artificial intelligence, voices, sensors, personalized responses, and increasingly natural movements. When that happens, they will stop being simple dolls and become something much harder to define. And that is when the uncomfortable questions will begin: if a machine can make us feel less alone, will it really matter that it feels nothing for us?

The multiverse has become the perfect solution for explaining absolutely anything. There are different realities, alternative timelines and infinite versions of the same character making completely different decisions.

In one universe, the heroine saves the world. In another, she loses the final battle. And somewhere between the two, she discovers that she can make considerably more money by opening a private profile and creating adult content.

The characters still keep their powers, their uniforms and some of their most recognisable accessories. What changes is the mission. Here, nobody has to protect the galaxy, recover a lost relic or defeat the villain of the week.

In this universe, the costume isn’t used to hide a secret identity, but to gain subscribers.

Some of these versions may never appear in the official comics, video games or movies, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. If the multiverse really is infinite, sooner or later there had to be a reality where the heroines and villains stopped fighting each other and devoted themselves to far more interesting activities.

This new edition of ALRNCN-style Cosplay seems to have arrived directly from there.

SHE CAN'T BRING THE ELBOWS TOGETHER

In the world of gastronomy, people often say that we eat with our eyes first. Making something delicious isn’t enough: you also have to think about the colors, arrange the ingredients properly, and present the dish in a way that whets your appetite before you’ve even tasted it.

And that makes perfect sense.

You can prepare exactly the same food in two different ways and make one version look like it came from a restaurant, while the other looks like something you threw together at four in the morning after coming home from a night out.

Presentation matters.

The women in these videos seem to have understood that part of cooking perfectly. We might not know exactly what they’re preparing, which ingredients they’re using, or how long any of it is supposed to stay in the pan, but we have to admit that they’ve managed to keep us focused on the entire process.
